Adolescent Therapy
Growing up in the present day is not easy.
Adolescence is a season of growth, identity development, and increasing independence. It can also be a time of anxiety, pressure, and uncertainty, especially when expectations, relationships, and internal experiences begin to feel overwhelming.
Teens may be navigating academic pressure, social dynamics, cultural or family expectations, and a developing sense of identity. At times, this can feel overwhelming, especially when emotions are difficult to name or express, and there isn’t always space to slow down and make sense of what’s happening internally. It may feel easier to keep things inside and minimize their experiences, rather than struggle to find the words for what they’re feeling.
Therapy offers a safe and protected space where adolescents can feel respected, heard, and understood without judgment or shame. My approach is collaborative and developmentally attuned, with an emphasis on building trust and emotional safety.
In our work, we may:
Navigate anxiety and academic or social pressure
Explore identity and sense of self
Process difficult or confusing experiences
Strengthen emotional awareness and regulation
Build confidence and communication skills
Support family and relational dynamics
We begin with understanding their internal world, navigating one step at a time.
