How Therapy Works
Beginning therapy can feel uncertain. It’s normal to wonder if your experiences are “enough” to share, or to feel nervous, ashamed, or scared about opening up and facing parts of you and your experience that may feel unfamiliar, vulnerable, or difficult to express in words.
Those feelings are understandable, and it is courageous for you to be here. Often, noticing this uncertainty and hesitation is what makes therapy meaningful, it’s a sign there is something important to explore, a place where there is more to be understood, a beacon calling you home.
The goal is to create a space where all parts of you feel safe, supported, and respected. Through understanding your patterns, experiences, and relationships, we begin to create space for change that honors all your parts and feels meaningful, allowing you to move through your life with greater clarity, connection, and choice.
All that is required of you is to come as you are.
"Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isn't really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place."
— Paulo Coelho

Free Consultation Call
This is a chance to connect and talk about what brings you to therapy. You may share your concerns, goals, and preferences, and I’ll explain how I work, my availability, and session fees. It’s also a space to ask any questions and get a sense of whether this feels like a good fit for you.
Your First Session
The first session is dedicated to exploring what matters most to you right now. You may share your story, discuss what you hope to work on, and gain a sense of how therapy can support you. This is where the work begins in a safe, grounded space.
Weekly Sessions
At the start, weekly sessions help build connection, trust, and momentum. Over time, the pace may shift based on your needs, progress, and what feels right for you. Each session is guided by curiosity, care, and your own experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
Starting therapy is a big decision, and it's okay to have questions before you take that step. I want you to feel informed, comfortable, and confident before we begin.

Individual therapy sessions are $250 for 50 minutes. Payment is collected after each session, and you can use a credit card or HSA/FSA card.
-
I’m currently out-of-network, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. That said, if you have a PPO plan or HSA/FSA benefits, you may be able to use them toward our sessions. I provide a monthly Superbill that you can submit for potential reimbursement. I recommend checking with your provider to understand your out-of-network benefits, and I’m happy to help clarify anything along the way.
-
I ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full session fee.
-
We’ll start with weekly sessions. This consistency at the beginning of our work helps build trust and momentum. As we go, we can adjust to bi-weekly or a more flexible schedule based on your needs and progress.
-
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer here. The length of therapy is something we’ll revisit together over time. What matters most is that it continues to feel meaningful and right for you.
-
A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a simple document that outlines the expected cost of your care if you’re paying out of pocket or not using insurance. It includes session fees and an estimated number of sessions so you can plan ahead and avoid surprises. You’ll receive it before we begin services, and we can always review it together if you have questions.
